SEXUALITY STUDIES WORKSHOP
The UJ Centre for Studies in Race, Gender and Class (CRGC), sponsored by the National Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS), are hosting an online 2-day workshop winter school on sexualities on Thursday, 1 July and Friday, 2 July 2021! All sessions will take place via Zoom.
The workshop is led by Dr Letitia Smuts, from the UJ Department of Sociology, and Mr Tshepo Maake from the Department of Sociology at UNISA.

- Introduction to Queer Studies
DAY TWO – FRIDAY, 2 JULY 2021
- Disrupting the Norm: Interrogating Hegemonic Social Discourses on Gender, Sex and Sexuality
- Heteronormativity in Context
- An Introduction to Intersectionality
